The International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) is a mandatory fee set by the New Zealand government. It was introduced to fund conservation of New Zealand's natural environment, national parks, and tourism infrastructure that visitors enjoy.
The IVL is charged per person, per NZeTA application. It is non-refundable once submitted — this is a New Zealand government policy, not a service charge. Your IVL is automatically included in the total fee shown during our online application — you pay once, with no separate government portal visit required.

Yes. Every individual traveller — including children — requires their own NZeTA linked to their own passport, and the full fee applies per person. Children on their own passport must have a separate application submitted on their behalf by a parent or guardian.
No. Your NZeTA fee is a one-time payment per application. Once approved, you can travel to New Zealand as many times as you like within the 2-year validity period without paying again. You only pay again when your NZeTA expires or if you get a new passport.
